Karni: Biography

Yehuda Karni was born in Pinsk in 1884. He was active in Zionist organizations from the time he was very young. He made Aliyah in 1921. His essays and poems show his love for Eretz Israel and Jerusalem while others focus on the Holocaust.

Karni won the Bialik Prize in 1944. Published works by Karni include: Gateways, In Thy Gates, O Homeland, Jerusalem, and Song & Tears .

Karni died in Tel Aviv 1949
